Weather Conditions for Lake St Clair, south end of the Overland Track


Temperatures are ideal for bushwalking in summer. At other times of the year it varies from mild to very cold. Expect colder weather in Pine Valley.


December to March is the driest period. Rainfall is spread over much of the year with no definite wet season.
Yearly rainfall is 1500 mm
(60 inches).


At best, it rains at least every second day even in summer. Most of the other days are cloudy as the small number of clear days shows.

Accuracy - Good, records have been kept for at least 30 years at Lake St Clair. Expect more rainfall and rainy days in Pine Valley
