Weather Conditions for the south coast of South West Tasmania

Summer can vary from heat waves to near freezing. In other seasons it is never warm being just above freezing. Be prepared for anything.

Rainfall is spread throughout the year. January to March are driest, but it still often rains. Average yearly rainfall is 1400 mm (55 inches).

Compared to the inland ranges, there are less days of rainfall. Wet days are still common and must be expected. Clear days are still a rarity.

Accuracy - Based on the 30 years of records at Hastings Caves. This is the closest site to Cockle Creek and has been modified to be in line with estimated values.
