Page 17, Tides. The Flinders website has closed. Tides can now be obtained at www.bom.gov.au/oceanography/tides

Walk 7, page 46. A new signposted walking track has been cut to Trestle Mountain. In the 5.6km paragraph, instead of turning left at GR 111523, continue straight ahead on East West Trail following signposts for 450m then turn left and walk 150m to the start of the new signposted and marked walking track to the summit of Trestle Mountain. The old route up the ridge has some erosion and has been closed to aid recovery and prevent further erosion. Thanks to Doug for details of this new track.

Walk 8, page 52 & 53. A new track has been cut from the 8.8km point to about the 11.0km point of the notes. It starts at the viewing area near Wellignton Falls and follows the ridge south-east to meet the road at the sharp road bend where the pipeline track heads directly downhill. The weir and last section of road to is now closed for public access.

Walks 12, 13 and 14. For all three walks in the Access notes there is an error where the notes refer to crossing the Derwent River as you enter Mt Field National Park. The river is actually the Tyenna River. This does not have any effect when using the notes.

<>Walk 12, Access - there is a new car park on the left just before the old carpark. A short walking track runs from the new car park across the road then joins the track as described to pass below the dam wall.

Walk 18. Currently the ferry to Narcissus Hut leaves Cynthia Bay at 9am, 1pm and 3pm daily during summer if there are bookings. All places must be booked at least several hours before. It is suggested to use the 9am service if starting at Narcissus Hut. For Echo Point either the 9am or 1pm services are suitable. There are signposts at the ferry service about the walk and ferry times and bookings can be made at the visitor centre.

Walk 27, page 128 Access, third last line - turn left onto the signposted road to BADGER BEACH (not Bakers Beach), and same in last line. A proof reading error - Bakers Beach is at the other end of the park.

Walk 34, page 160. The new track from the visitor centre to Ronny Creek has been completed and markers have been removed from the old track around the base of Quaile Hill. This changes the walk as we expected. From the 4.5km point, turn right onto the new track and follow the boardwalk northwest to the visitor centre. The new track is located a few hundred metres north of the estimated location shown on the map on page 160. The new track is more scenic than the old one as it crosses the open plain and provides a good view of the cliffs on Quaile Hill.

Walk 38, page 177, 3.1km. Approaching Paddys Lake the track is no longer rough as the North-West Walking Club has cut a short section of new track 100m to the west. This has no other effect on the walk or notes but makes the final approach to the lake more pleasant.

Walk 39, page 181, 8.5km. From the junction in the saddle, follow the road north-east for a further 200m then turn left onto the walking track just before the new bridge over the creek. The old track as described can also be followed but it is no longer marked as the walking track. This change has happened as a result of the road bridge replacement.
